Mount Camel Beach
Mount Camel Beach, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia is a great place to try for Australian Salmon and falls within the allowed Elliston Australian Salmon Fishing Championship locations. In this video we catch Australian Salmon, Australian Herring and Mullet which was more than enough for dinner. We previously caught Flathead at this beach.
In winter this exposed beach can be windy and rough, making fishing difficult at times. It is spectacular though and well worth a visit. Very large Australian Salmon have been caught here.
If you are fishing for Australian Salmon don’t forget to give Mount Camel Beach a go. You can also try for Mullet, Australian Herring or Flathead, and you might bring home dinner!

Sheringa Beach
Sheringa Beach, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia is an amazing place for fishing and camping as there is a wind protected campground that runs behind the beach. In this video we catch Australian Herring (Tommy Ruff) and Mullet for dinner. On a previous occasion we caught Australian Salmon here.
Sheringa Beach is another allowable location to fish in the Elliston Australian Salmon Fishing Championship.
This beach is accessible by 2 wheel drive and the camp site is suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and RVs. This was a stunning camping spot. To book a site refer to this link https://book.eyrepeninsula.com.au/sheringa-trevally-shoal#/accom/142523👍

Locks well Beach
Locks Well Beach on the Eyre Peninsula is a challenging place to fish due to the huge staircase leading down to the beach and also the rough surf. It is very beautiful however, and is another allowed fishing location for the Elliston Australian Salmon Fishing Championship.
In this video we talk to Paul from Port Pirie who fishes Locks Well Beach every year and who has some interesting tips for fishing for Australian Salmon. These fish seemed to preference lures and NOT bait!

Boiling Down Beach
Boiling Down Beach (adjacent to Talia Beach) on the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia is a great spot to fish for Australian Salmon. This beach is where I caught my $2000 winning fish for the Elliston Australian Salmon Fishing Championship.
Boiling Down Beach is easily accessible by 4 wheel drive, or alternatively it is a short walk down from the car park to the beach if you have a 2 wheel drive. There is a high chance of catching a big Australian Salmon at this beach, particularly in winter.
So if you are keen to try for a prize winning Australian Salmon, try Boiling Down Beach. It is one of the allowed beaches in the Australian Salmon Fishing Championship Elliston.
It is a good choice! In this video we show how we caught the prize winning Australian Salmon, and we also show the rigs, and bait we used.
